Upcoming Workshop Opportunities
Join us on an Adventure!
With summer in full swing, I want to share some of the trips I’ll be co-leading as we head into fall.
Cape Cod with Tony Baldasaro - Sept 11-14
I’m very excited to return to the Cape after a long absence. I co-led a very enjoyable series of workshops here in 2018 and 2019 with Michael Blanchette, and I’m honored to now work with Tony Baldasaro, one of my favorite photographers, on a new workshop we’re calling Chasing Cape Cod.
We have a lot to show you!
I don’t need to tell you that Cape Cod is beautiful. People come from all over to see its beaches, lighthouses, and cultural landmarks.
We aim to show you the best of what makes this area special.
We’ll include locations such as the Old Harbor Life Saving Station in Provincetown, as well as the salt marshes around Eastham and Nauset.
One of our favorite spots is the Cape Cod National Seashore Salt Pond at the head of Nauset Marsh. This is Tony’s beautiful take from here.
Race Point Lighthouse, at the tip of the cape near Provincetown, is another favorite spot for both of us.
Tony has a special knack for finding foxes out here. We’ll definitely look out for these guys and hopefully photograph a few. I love Tony’s photos of them!

Best of Maine with J.K. Putnam - Sept 16-20
We have just a couple of spots left on our Best of Maine Workshop. This is an obvious one for me, and I’m very happy to be teamed up with my friend J.K. Putnam this time around. He’s the master of Acadia.
We’ll base the first half of the workshop out of Bath, which gives us access to locations from Nubble Lighthouse to Camden Harbor.
You might have heard of Portland Head Light before. I’ve made a few photos here in my time, and I’d love to show you why I think this might be one the greatest photo locations around.
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse is another icon, and for good reason. It’s setting and distinctive architecture are some of the greatest Maine has to offer.
In addition to well-known locations like Portland Head Light and Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, we’ll visit lesser-known spots along the coast, such as Five Islands in Georgetown, Maine.
As well as many others!

For the second half of the workshop, we’ll be based in Bar Harbor. I’ve come to know and love Acadia over the years, and have extensive knowledge of the photographic possibilities here.
But no one compares to John, who lives on the island and has led countless tours and workshops here. Here are a few of my favorites from him.
We would love for your to join us! Learn more and sign up by clicking on the button.
New Hampshire Fall Foliage with Kurt Budliger
Oct 9 - 11
Acadia Fall Foliage with Kurt Budliger
Oct 13 - 17
I don’t want to make anyone upset here, but we do have to start thinking about autumn plans. Our Vermont workshop is sold out, but we still have a few spots left on these two essential workshops, New Hampshire and Acadia.
Why wait when you can sign up now?
Thank you so much for looking and considering joining us on a workshop. We work very hard to provide a great experience for folks regardless of where they are on their photographic journey, from beginners to seasoned veterans. Combined, we’ve led thousands of participants on hundreds of workshops over the years. Come and see why so many join us, and then return again and again for more!

Ben could you do a photo expose on the Maine Lobstermen. I see so few working these past few years. Years ago looking out on Loud’s sound your could walk from one brightly colored Pod to another across the sound ☹️
It’s fascinating scrolling through these and feeling the ones that really hit home. You can actually learn a lot about yourself and your style and what makes you tick just by scrolling through amazing images. Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing. (Way too far from Australia but a lovely thought for future me.)
