I loved this -- absolutely stunning photos -- and it brought back great memories from when we lived on the East Coast. I broke my ankle on Madison on my 40th birthday, cutting short the same hike. Question about gear -- of course. What camera / lens combo for backpacking when weight is important? Tripod or no? Don't see one on your pack.
